I'm an eleven year old boy who loves to read. I drive my friends nuts recomending books to them, so I thought this was right up my alley.

The Companion's Quartet (series) by: Julia Golding

The Companion's Quartet by Julia Golding is an amazing read, the writing is terrific, the story line is exiting and very interesting.  It packs an environmental punch and has a flair of mythology.

A girl named Connie goes to live with her crazy aunt while her brother goes to a boarding school in Manila.
At school she hides her many quirks while trying to unravel the mystery of a local secret society.

Ms. Golding did a tremendous job in portraying Connie's world in this series; the mystery, the action, the emotion and the setting. Even though the books ended, my thoughts remained at Connie's world.

I love these books. I have read them twice and will probably read them again. I strongly recommend this series to fans of "Percy Jackson and the Olympians".
ages 9 and up. very slight language and violence
